In There
I have ears covered. And angry ankles with socks. Just a hospital. It flew endlessly. Dreams can be like tank tops. Comfy and have designs sometimes. Yet they are as empty as that water bottle in the corner. Dragging us around. That week? We rode on top of our ankles. To the hospital. And then a week went by and… A thing entered the gates. We all remember like eyeballs nodding. Dreams cover me up like leaves. Flying like ankle socks. Dreams in the hospital. Trays of food, plastic forks. Lasts and lasts like indestructible coats. Christmas Day it’s unbearable to be here. I have ears. Hearing things like medication. It’s cold like a piece of jewelry. But not as nice. Dreams in the hospital. The showers were full. Dragging around little more. Pretended I was in a grocery store. I think maybe it was nine days after all. I might never see any of them again. I left behind a plastic fork I used to pick my brain. And I hope that’s it.
