In the fog of sleep and disturbance, even now she knows not her child’s fear. The child’s head hurts with thoughts, distraught. Her inner mind held tight. ‘How can I be; how can I not?’ Angels give off their light - her guardians of peace and calm. This question spoken like a prayer to God, who she has not grasped. She reaches for the tangible touch of her mother’s arms, sans discernment, whilst the light-bearers smile and cheer. Questions linger but faith takes hold. She’s saved; arms raised, knees bent.
