To my son on his birthday
To My Son, On His Birthday Today you stand, a year more bold and bright, A soul so full of wonder, joy, and grace. Each dawn you chase with laughter and with light, A universe of love shines in your face. I’ve watched you grow through seasons vibrant hues, From tiny hands to dreams too wide to hold. The world feels kinder just because of you, A heart so young, yet endlessly so bold. May every wish you make take flight and soar, And lead you on to lands both far and grand. Through every trial, know I’m at your door, With steady heart and ever-reaching hand. So blow hard your candles, with all your might; Entire world is yours, my star, my son, my light. Dedicated to my son Kartikeya on his bday Written May 30, 2025 (Sonnet - iambic pentameter ABABCDCDEFEFGG)
