Before The Dawn
Before the Dawn Where were you in the 14th century? In ancient times, it was called philosophy. Their entertainment was the Amphitheatre back in time. Captive in chains as warriors, who could have survived? After the bloodshed, roses were thrown from the crowd. The crowd of violence up high was above the ground. In Roman time it was Caesar in power. In bravery, you became a gladiator. They fought under the sun in the sand. The buildings in stone were cut from Ashlan. An army with spears was pointed. The first coin with a face was presented. The history of violence in the making. In the underworld the flesh was for the taking. How did they survive with nothing to eat? It was a hard road dying in the heat on their bare feet. Before dawn, there was a storm on the horizon. It would be chariots of fire going in circles as men were dying. There is no triumph in this way of life. We keep feeding our brothers to the lions. Endure the pain to fight another day. Rise to your feet, the idols you worship are made out of clay. The sun turned from orange to black.
