If it had been love, why didn't you whisper it when time still had breath
If it had been love, why didn't you whisper it when time still had breath, when it could still weave our moments into the fabric of eternity? I wandered unknowingly, not realizing I had been thrown into a silent race, where even my steps were muffled by hesitation, like an unfinished song. I was not swift, I was not brave, I moved with doubt pulling me back, pausing too long at every turn in the road, searching for answers in shadows, for each step was an untold story, an unwritten chapter in the book of my heart, and each hesitation was a verse lost in the wind of a merciless time. It took time to reach you, to stand still in your shadow, to gather the courage to unearth the pains I never named, I carried them in my pockets like folded letters, never sent, each moment lived was soaked in you, like a summer rain embracing the earth. And yet, when I found the words, when I brought them to light, they were nothing but noise to your silence, an echo lost in a starless night, and I was left only with the echoes of a dream that never came true, like a muted melody resonating in an empty room, carrying its melancholy.
