FORGIVE DON'T BE A FOOL
I would like to share a story about the "Unforgiving Fool!" He let his pride, saying forgiveness wasn't cool. He even claimed to be a Christian, that read the bible each day. The Book about forgiveness, but his let pride led the way. The fool loved his mother so, he was her baby child. Whenever he would think of her, it did make him smile. He left to serve his country, at the age of seventeen. Due to challenges in his life, there was no time for mom it seemed. When returning to his home, he noticed there was strife. His only sister seemed jealous and would use words as a knife. She had mom all those years, planting mean thoughts in her head. The mother who once trust her son, now doubted anything he said. The son tried many times to make right feelings that were wrong. But the influence of sibling jealousy, had now become too strong. In anger he gave up, the whole matter was no longer cool. He stopped trying to reconnect. And became the unforgiving fool. Reading about forgiving, while never going near his mom's house. God would tell him to forgive, through his loving spouse. He would feel the Holy Spirit, convicting his heart. He would try to obey the bible, but avoiding the forgiving part. Unforgiveness had taken control over his prideful mind. What it did to him was make him foolish and blind. One day his wife called saying "I thought you should know." You're mom had slipped into a coma about an hour ago. The son grabbed his bible, went and sat by her bed. At that point he was ready to do any and everything it said. For the next five days, he sat with her throughout the night. Avoiding contact with his sister, to avoid any fights. He held on tenderly to his dear sweet mother's hand. But she never came around to her young Soldier man. There was no response to any of his words. Deep in his heart, he was hoping she heard. The fifth night grabbed her hand, bible and kneeled. This was the last time he'd see her is what he began to feel. He said "Father forgive me! for doing her this way!" He turned for one last look as he left her that day. In Walmart at the checkout a thought said she was gone A came outside from my wife on the phone.! It's been six long years now, as I write this I'm still sick. I let pride get in my way and this wrong I can't fix. Don't let pride convince you that forgiveness ain't cool. Do what the bible says or you too will become the fool. It does not matter which person who is at fault. Ask God for strength, go to them and talk. This final word, please, I want you to hear. Please forgive while they're alive, so your conscience is clear.
