Happy piano playing days
2025.4.10 It has been 9 months since I played piano. In the first few months, I received few compliments. I was not confident and felt embarrassed instead. But eventually, I receive them every day and everywhere I play. I even have a fan, who said "I get up early to come here, To hear you play and to see you". I met a young musician After two unplanned meetings, He said he has never heard, Such relaxing and smoothing musics. I confirmed those melodies Were composed at least seven decades ago. I heard them when I was young, I played them out because They were beautifully composed, with very heartfelt lyrics. On the next meeting, he handed me a copy Of his hand written music notes, And encouraged me to play them. I felt so honour by his offer, But I had to apologize, for not being able to accept. Because I could not read any music notes. He was rather surprised By my ability to play music by the ears. There was a woman patiently waited, I stopped and checked if I could help. She then asked "Do you speak English" "Yes" I nodded and suggested. "Would you like to have a go at the piano" She quickly said, "Oh no. I do not know how. You played very well and the loud music In the back ground spoiled the piano's sound" She said she is 78 years of age Came from London on a holiday. She said she would sit down for a while, To listen to my music. I decided to put on my best performances, So she could take the memory back to England. One weekend in March There was this young woman, Waiting to meet up with her friend, After standing for while. She could not help approaching me. To clear up her belief. The way I played, she had mistaken me as a piano's teacher. Yesterday, while playing at the M library, I noticed a young student, Patiently holding her phone in a steady position, Like she was recording me. I paused and we exchanged brief conversations. I finally agreed to let her Videoing my music enjoyments. After that we had a lengthy chat, She expressed her joy, Of witnessing someone like me, With different ethnic back ground, Able to play her country very famous old songs. She confessed how her father was disappointed of Unsuccesful teaching her to play piano, Just because she preferred outdoor, And had no interest in piano. At the end, I showed her my poems and drawings. She paid me more compliments, And promised to get back to music. All that reminded me of BB, It was because of him, I am now being able to share and inspire people to get back to music
