Or that Friday the 13th and black cats mean I'm ill-fated Such ancient superstitious notions are overrated. Believing in superstitious things is a malady I'll keep holding on to a sense of rationality Superstitiously is not the way I live my life. I don't worry about stepping on a sidewalk crack It won't result in breaking my mother's back In the Bible, there was handwriting on the wall foreshadowing tragedy, but on me a ladder won't fall if I walk beneath it. It doesn't mean I'm cursed at all. Believing in superstitious things is something I dismiss I don't buy into the thought that things will go amiss Superstitiously is not the way I live my life. It's just an old-time sideshow barker's trick to think things will disappear before your eyes when you blink. I don't accept hocus pocus performed by a magician Don't fall for the acts they create as an apparition. I'm not of the conviction to give credit to superstition. Those eerie beliefs will never have a hold on me Poe's ravens may live forever more in infamy but superstitiously is not the way I live my life. I've never been a superstitious person. Not at all. A mirror is just a piece of glass hanging on a wall. If I break it, I've no fear of bad luck coming my way. Not for seven years nor for a single hour or day. I'm not superstitious, and there's nothing more to say.
