Knowing subconsciously, it won't last But rectifying still, In the glorious feeling of immortality, If only for the moment... But as we come out of our shell of resilience, And step away form our immaculate imagination, We know we will never exist more peacefully, Than in our world apart from rationalization, If only for the moment... Coming our of our state of mind is troubling, We feel deflated, defeated and desperate, Willing to cling to any piece of our former self, Even the bad habits are comforting for their familiar aspects, If only for the moment...
