I Really Just Don't Care
Sun shining over the ghastly life-filled lands Burning brightly upon the crimson sand Trunk and Trees here and there Falling upon the Aussie’s flair From a place filled with hills to mountains, rivers to seas, To another place of beaches and deserts, From a country of diversity and equality, To another country of history and opportunity From the land of Kiwis to the land of Kangaroos, From the land of rugby to the land of surfing From the land of Maori's to the land of Indigenous Australians Both filled with heritage, wildlife and adventure Yet nobody can seem to see the difference of the countries down below I really wonder the distinction between Auckland and Melbourne One city of multi-cultures to another city of multi-cultures Just one with a longer history Just one a little bigger Just one with more education Just one that could be my forever home Deep within me A part of me can’t care Moving from my home of 13 years My home with all my favorite restaurants My home with all my favorite shops My home with all my friends My home with all that I ever knew To a place that I never seen Their restaurants Their shops Their people Their everything and anything, with the nothings at all I just want to go Go to everywhere but nowhere at once Too much effort but with a heart-fulfilling prize of an adventure So much to pack and so much to throw So much but nothing at all What if I get lost? What if I don’t like it? What if their food is bad? What if I don’t like their shops? Or their restaurants? Or their food? Or their culture? Or the people themselves? All these question swirling in that small mind of mine Is this normal? I really don’t know Should I ask anyone? I really don’t know Or no one at all? I really don’t know But one thing is for sure, I really just don’t care.
