I hate you
I hate you... For the smile that withers like a flower under the harshness of frost, For every memory that refuses to melt in the fog of forgetfulness, For the good that tears at me like a hook in the soul, For every joy that suffocates under the weight of its own shadow. For the warm care that haunts me like a ghost in the night, For every caress that freezes, like a spring trapped under ice, For the sweet kiss that leaves a bitter taste, like poison on the lips, For every gentle touch that leaves marks like thorns on my skin. For the hope that fades in my eyes, like a falling star, For every dream that turns into a nightmare like an unexpected storm, For the aversion that pierces my heart like a poisoned arrow, For the melancholic pain that burns my soul like an unquenchable fire. I hate you! For the promise that unraveled like a silk thread in the wind, For every “I will never leave you” that left like an echo in the wilderness, For the regret of sincerity, like a broken mirror, For every trust that became remorse, like a lost jewel. For every “I love you” that sounded like a whisper in a dream, For every “my little flower” that dispersed like perfume in the wind, I hate you! I know, I know I shouldn’t let hate drown me in its dark waves, But what do I do when you only taught me how to fly, like a butterfly in the stormy wind? Why did you give me what was never mine, before hollowing me out like a tree stripped of its leaves?
