I write this as a tribute to the man who lived a life closest to what God wanted for each of his beings. He was a simple and just subject of God. He cared not for the high parts of life, but of the low and every day dealings of life. Sometimes I wish I had what he had. I could get closer to our Lord. Many said of him great and simple truths. I wish I would be remembered this way. He had high morals and genuine feelings for his fellow man. He lived a hundred years something many folk may not live to see. It is a privilege to live so long. He became great out of his four years in the Office as President. Perhaps, that Office was just the corner stone to his life. He had a partner name Roseland. She was the anchor to his life. The port in all storms. Few get such an anchor. I was around when he was President, but I did not understand how important of a man he was. I'm older now and understand that such a man one only sees once in a lifetime. I am humbled and pleased to have know that such a human existed. On this day, we celebrate you, Jimmy Cater. I celebrate you. Thank you Lord, for showing such a wonderful human being and bringing him to mankind. Rest in Peace.
