Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required that year when I turned fifty, we had a cause for celebration our new house was almost finished, it's had a brand new renovation when the work was finally over, and the last few touches done It's going to be our forever home, this really is the one just twelve months after moving in, our dreams went up in smoke I came home to find my husband, he'd had a major stroke this was such a shocking tragedy, to find him on the floor once I'd called the paramedics, I knew I could do no more I went with him to the hospital as he struggled through the night I prayed that he'd keep on breathing and not give up the fight I knew life would be altered, and things would have to change but until I knew the outcome, I didn't know what to re-arrange the day they let him come home, I was so relieved at heart I knew our life had changed, but we had to make a start he was now a wheelchair user, and he needed full time care we had to hire a carer, because I worked and wasn't always there. and so began the next stage of us getting back on track with hubby going to rehab, to try and get some movement back we faced an uphill battle, I was unsure if I could cope but I loved my husband dearly, I would never give up hope.
