Roll up Roll up
Roll up, roll up, and take your seat, Enjoy the show, it's bittersweet. The world we know is upside down, But the circus has arrived in town. No charge or an admission fee, For politics, the seats are free. The ringmaster he cracks his whip, A Prime Minister and his premiership. With a government full of appointees, Clowns painted with sincerity. Politicians with no policies, Just puppets dancing on his strings. On a carousel of much confusion, Each turn it revolves, creates an illusion. Juggling empty words and broken dreams, As his audience they clap and scream. He teeters on the edge of reason, Betraying words, committing treason. With a dysfunctional system in need of reform, While the ringmaster orders his clowns to perform. A Prime Minister juggling our hopes and despair, With whispers of doubt floating thick in the air. As we sit and watch this circus unfold, Our muted voices, are a truth untold. An audience with it's hopes and fears, Yet in this circus, there's no laughter, just tears. Roll up, roll up, don't be just a face, Engage with this circus, it's your rightful place. The best seats in the house to observe this freak show. As we question their antics, as we reach cresendo. So let's all take a bow and bring this curtain down, And let's kick this circus right out of our town. For freedom of speech, there's a price that we pay. In the circus of power, where only fools have their say.
