Hunter green, cerulean blue, gave her water a lovely hue. This fumbling fisherman with stinky bait and this creative artist with her palette of paint, met by chance on this lovely lake. Lured by her beauty, Chris couldn't wait, so he smiled,winked and asked for a date. (But not too close, he smelled like bait) Nervously she said, "My name is Kate” hoping then she wouldn't faint. They planned to meet at Sunflower Lake. "Is this for real or is it fate?" Pondered artistic, cautious Kate. Chris washed his hair and scrubbed his face. Kate sewed a dress with Irish lace. When they met she looked at Chris, he was quite a devilish dish. He thought Kate looked sassy and swish. At the beach at quarter past seven, under the moon it felt like heaven. She had dreamed of romance since she was eleven. Kate sang to Chris a summer tune, about 2 lovers who met in June. He smiled and sniffed her enchanting perfume. Chris pulled her close to say goodnight. “Pucker up sweet Kate, for your kiss I can’t wait" Was this real love without a doubt? His lips pressed hers to finally find out. She wrinkled her nose and began to pout “Oh my gosh, you taste like trout !” Then hook, line and sinker, Chris sailed away, down a channel called Heart Break Bay. Kate tossed her paint and pallet away, then flew to France to learn papier-mache’ !
