Stones that trip me up, I never wanted, There is rain now, too. The sadness, we found true. Indoors? There is nothing galore. But then a cat appears at the window. A cat that I don't even know. He wants away from the storm. We let him in where it’s warm. Then he plays his own game. With some string he tries to tame. Sure, we like hopscotch. But we’d much rather watch- A silly cat. And the toy he tries to bat. Even when the rain does end. And the cat is done playing pretend. I don’t know the point of this story, anyway. Or if there is anything left to say. Except that we have a new pet. Who hates the vet. Who likes to eat cheese? He always says please. And likes to cuddle. But not splash in a puddle. I guess we now have a cat? And I guess that is that.
