I am somewhat ashamed to admit that the last several years, when people would ask me how I am doing, my pat answer was "I am fine" Or "I am good" despite the fact that it felt like my life was collapsing around me Mental Illness is hard on the person suffering, but it is also hard on the family members because often it is difficult to know what to do to help and pushing just makes things worse I am proud that I have educated myself on mental illness and the resources available in my area. But, I do want to be more honest with others and share what I have experienced Because someone else may need to hear what I have to say.
