Of course there is, But it’s not what you think. It’s not to trust the science or the polls Or fake fact checkers, It’s to do something completely different Like Monty Python Or Mary Poppins showed. Something so different is disturbs even yourself Something so outside the box That all that’s left is the ridiculous Making you think you might just die Of laughter Before you get your next breath. But breathe we do Again and again, And again again. What we need is levity after all To break down the walls of despair and fear And earnestness. It’s all bullsh*t after all, right? So get with it and hone those bullsh*ting skills Like your life depends upon it. Because it does. Because the world as we know it Needs a little deconstructing As it hardens into a little cyst. And the best way to do that is to quit believing Quit trying and dreaming And hoping to become, And instead just be. And when we just are The absurdity of it all Will simply shine, And as it shines Mirage-like in the shimmering heat We rise disembodied in the light Without identity, without a care Free at last of all the silly things We use to hold ourselves down and in And beneath All we want to be, Which is In the end Simply free.
