Letter in the dark
In shadows cast by memories' sway, I pen this note where demons play, To you, my love, who stood so tall, I reach across the chasm's call. Forgive me for the storms I brewed, For words like knives, harsh and crude, In moments where the silence fell, I turned to chaos — oh, can you tell? The echoes of my tempest's roar, Chased you away, shut every door. I wore my heart like tangled thread, And in my fury, love lay dead. I wish I could rewind the clock, To soothe your heart, to heal the shock, Each scream, each fight, a cry for help, But all you saw was the beast I dealt. Amidst the pain and fractured pride, There flickers warmth I tried to hide, A lover lost in shadows deep, A heart that struggled, failed to keep. Your laughter dances in my mind, A tender balm I long to find, But I was lost, unanchored, torn, A boat adrift, a rose unlorn. So here I stand, this fragile soul, A whispered truth, a fissured whole, If healing finds you on your way, Know I wish you love, come what may. Forgive my darkness, learn and grow, For that tempest's tide will ebb, I know, I’m better now, though scars remain, Yet still, your kindness haunts my brain. I’ll carry lessons forged in pain, And let the sun break on the rain, In echoes soft, I still believe, In all the love that weaved and weaved. So to the you I once adored, I hope you find what I ignored, In peace, in joy, in brighter skies, This BPD heart, still learning how to rise. Inspired by my last love that ended in feb 2023
