With dangerous knowledge comes responsibility, A weight that anchors me in this place, A silent, invisible chain that binds my soul, And I know, with a clarity that cuts like a blade, How and why I am here, confined within these walls. The key to freedom hangs before me, Gleaming with the promise of escape, Yet my hands remain still, my heart unyielding, For the knowledge I possess is a double-edged sword, And the world beyond these bars seems less real, Less substantial than the truths I hold. I wander through this mental labyrinth, Each turn a reflection of the choices I have made, Each corridor echoing with the ghosts of possibilities, And I realize, with a melancholic certainty, That this prison is both my curse and my sanctuary. Even if they presented me the key, A golden ticket to release from this self-imposed exile, I would not take it, for I am not bound by bars, But by the very essence of what I know, A prisoner of my own mind, a captive of my own heart. And thus, I will remain here, In this beautiful and tragic prison, Where the light of understanding flickers like a dying flame, And the shadows of responsibility loom large, Until the day I fade into silence, Dying in vain, but with the comfort of knowing, That I embraced my fate with open eyes and a heavy heart.
