In The Shadow Of Sunlight
"I am a dance of light and darkness, a galaxy . . . of shadows and stars. " Quote by _R. Queen In the shadow of sunlight I walk the forest thinking about the path of my life. A lot was spent in the dark of gloom and some in the sunshine of joy. I have some sadness and also great happiness and I am loved very much. My father taught me about nature, we would go for walks and hikes, all I know about nature is because of him. I can still see us hiking unknown paths. stopping to rest by a flowing stream and eating the food mom had prepared for us. The fish enjoyed our leftover crumbs. As the day ticked off the trees would cast shadows, making our way dim. Until, we came to a meadow and the light of day was bright. And I enjoyed picking wildflowers, dad, seemed to know each name. I miss you dad, so much. a thousand birds sang hidden in the boughs of trees ... wind whistles loudly My journey is full of pits and sorrow, but also great love and I am quite happy. I am either in the shadows or I am in the daylight. Maybe everyone has a journey like this. I often fall into pits of despair but find my way out of them. Seems, I have a strength and determination unfathomable. So, I have learnt to live with the shadows and sunlight of life. never forgetting the lessons life teaches us along the way. One thing I always knew that when darkness came to me, my mother would welcome me home, would shelter me until the sun shone on me again. I miss you so much mom. her garden sublime the colors bright in the sun ... hued lush in the rain
