The Disease of Love
If love is the disease of the heart, I want you to infect me with it, If love has impaired my vision so that I cannot see, I want you to blind me with it, and show me where you store it. If love is caught between the trees and I cannot move, send a tempestuous wind and sweep me off my feet and let me land on the other side where love abides. It has resided in my stomach for more than three years and has been spreading all over my body ,bubbling up in my flesh and playing music in chest. It has drained the moisture out of my skins leaving me, dry, skinny and thin, sometimes I tumble to the ground when the strength in my body has worn out. If love is a disease let me see the one that has infected me with it. If love is a disease lead me to the one that is dabbling in it. I sit quietly inside the room from morning till noon looking out the little window and penetrating the strangers, they walk by in a hurry with a sad look on their faces as if they have conquered all the ages; I try to figure out what they are thinking but it could be anything and as they slowly disappeared in the distance my heart began to compose a melodious hymn and the infection burst out in my face and starts infecting the whole human race. Some stand in the middle of the street and start washing their bodies with water from the running hose, some have caught the infection badly and could not find an immediate remedy; they lie flat on their belly on the sidewalk having a conversation with ground and twirling their bodies around and soon the entire town is infected with it. If love is the disease of the heart come and shower me with it; if love is on borrowed time, make haste before the sunrise, when love come knocking at your door and the journey is no more, wrapped your hands around it and use your palms to cover your face and love will swell in your clothes before the secret is exposed and you will keep asking for more; if love is a disease of the sea, wet me with it, if love is the disease of sun burn me with it before the day is done; if love is a disease of the heart fill me up and keep showering me with it.
