As I heal
As I heal I think about what I feel What I wish to do So much I have been through I face a future A dream that I need to nurture Never before have I had that door To open. I was hoping Just to survive No one makes it out alive Did not care Did not dare But I'm still alive I did survive Now for tomorrow I did not prepare Life was never fair But I did not care But I seem to, now Just trying to Learn how I reckon one day at a time Do not have a dime I feel no fear Yesterday fell my last tear Life I hold dear One more day So many words left to say So much I wish to do A sky so blue On silent strength I drew One day more Then I open that door Tomorrow My land of no sorrow Today I go my way Seeking what I do not yet know But time will show Hope does grow For a better day My hair turns gray Wrinkles appear ...No fear.... Standing on n my own With what life has shown My soul has grown I Feel My body does heal My heart beats like a man young I hung My sorrows on my sorrow tree On bended knee Left them for the past For tomorrow to last I needed to be free So much I wish to be To see A sunrise Watching time as it flies Hope never dies Tomorrow No sorrow A new step along my way Into a new day Life, I did earn So much left to learn I heal Trying to understand what I feel My new scar Is a part of my star I wonder how far Is tomorrow Life is the land of no sorrow I find Peace of mind
