even God cannot please everybody
I inherited the earth on a Monday By Tuesday evening I had fixed it So everyone knew how to speak a common language Everyone was talking to their neighbors. A great start I thought. By Wednesday I had installed empathy and kindness In all of the adults; I did not have to revamp the children or dogs. They already have goodness. I wisely steered clear of the cats. They are terrifying to even me, a brand new entity. Nothing I say or do has any effect, they have minds of their own. I let them be cats as they have always been. On Thursday morning I noted that humans were helping each other. Everyone was working for the common good in every single country. All around the world teens were facetiming “hot teens” from other cultures. Everyone was discussing their diverse holidays; they were excited! On Friday I read human suggestions that rolled into my mailbox. My subjects had determined that I was a good listener, They knew I had their best interests at heart. Everyone wanted to help me be the best deity I could be. They loved me being their God. You have made such a difference in my life! They said Over and over, but in different writen languages. Some of them I could not read. So I gifted the world with a common writing language also. On to Saturday. On Saturday I gave the world pink grass, because I love pink. Many complained. Some got sick. One or two could not stop crying. I had made a mistake, so on Sunday I changed the grass back to green. A few unicorn-cotton-candy-loving girls wanted a new God now. Even God cannot please everybody.
