Black swans
Sitting on the same bench a few years after, memories come back while I'm watching the pond, feeding the ducks, geese and the black swans. After a long time, Santa Margarita's park shows its colourful beauty for different people enjoying walking around. Same trees watching the changes, growing new branches, leaves and flowers. Old roots make them stronger to stay tall after the years. Sitting on that same bench, my feelings travel to the past when we were discovering the best of us, looking at each other with sparkling eyes. We used to feed a black swan, the only one at that time, lost in his loneliness, begging for love. We used to be full of love, we used to wonder why that swan was a long way from his love. Now that we are many kilometres and years apart, let me tell you one thing, that black swan has his lover with him, and both are the happiest swimmers in the pond. They've built their future together fighting the adversities. We were not able to, but it will always be Santa Margarita's park to remember what our love could have been, if we had loved each other as those black swans.
