Why I Put Pen To Paper (A Poet's Prayer)
Some of my poems may bring a tear to your eye And some of them may make you cry But that is why I write To help family and friends get through the night And to keep them company Until the first rays of the daylight Some of my poems are funny But isn't that better than the ones that make your nose runny?! However--I don't have any about the Easter Bunny... Most of my poems are about The Man who died on Calvary Who bled and died upon the tree So we can live with Him in Heaven for all Eternity But regardless--have a nice Resurrection Day! That is all I have to say to you today 'Cept for I hope one day with your company-- I hope to have a payday...Hey what can I say?! Anyway--that is why I put pen to paper To tell everyone about My Lord and Saviour Nighty Night Night--before you go to sleep tonight Why don't you get on your knees to pray? Now rest your weary head and go to bed Turn off the light... And sweet dreams--'fore you know it-- It will be daylight! From The Desk of Pamela The Poet Who Knows It!!!
