Beneath the starry vault of memory, your voice lays down
Beneath the starry vault of memory, your voice lays down Like a blanket of marble weathered by long-forgotten deities. I've allowed my hopes to be gently polished By the eternal warmth of your words, over the seas of my shipwrecked dreams. In the fragile surprise of an unexpected blessing, I sought to grow stillness among the inked rocks of despair, As if the caress spread over the spheres of celestial forests Would fall in cascades over the drawn walls of reality. The longing for you, like a white wolf in the night of seasons, Held me close, knowing that the magical sound had returned, Whispering about how we burst forth, two halves of a comet, Onto stairs of lights that weave sublime orbits, which were our destiny to follow. It is an ancient elixir to hear you with my soul clothed in sobs, Echoing through valleys and over ages, like an echo from a lost symphony, When fate placed side by side a sister and brother, spirits woven from the same thread, And led them through the sanctity of a ceremony without a bride and without a crown. Love has changed its face again, like a river beneath the moon altering its course, You made me startle, ominous as the first snowflake in the late autumn, And from flames of longing and deep sobs, I sought solace, recourse, Like a pilgrim who with fervent prayers asks you to return to the temple of my barren life.
