A World Without Conflict
Written: March 07, 2024 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As I gaze up at the sky, A vision appears in my mind: A ring of children, of all hues and races, Joking, holding hands, embracing; A ring spanning a stallion world A ring versatile yet unfurled, A ring symbolizing brotherhood A ring of abounding love. This planet—also known as home It's such a stupendous elixir, We may grow, sow, and share food, From its sky, we rave water From its clay, we nurture, From its stone we build flats And in her womb, we lay. Born as aureate jewels, Can ignite or extinguish embers The universe is a bedizen of promise; Here it hangs its head with a chuckle But, the world is a vile caesura. Doom lullabies whispered, As pilotless drones strike Phantasm pristine promise Fetched forward from fallacy; Sky and sea, once majestic Ashen gray—a hint of skepticism Graves replaced hospitals Leaders now pave tombs  With heroism... Falsehoods ratified by political fear, Whilst pillars and epitaphs are in the sky, Food scarcity—fueled by inflation Friends turn foes in a dismal imply Social enigma—imposed by fear, And kids frolic with rubble—the worst is near The early sky is tearful Blaming acid rain for hate World-destroying plummet Atone for the past, but futile; Forlorn screams flood the globe Unfathomable July snowfall A stark signal of our perilous crisis. An inherently warlike planet An inherently hostile universe Killing animals, kids, and seniors, Ill intent spills, pandemonium drools; Greedy for what we lack Yearning for ash, rocks, blood, Scorching soul, gaping abyss, Sliding down, winding tracks, Wanting to flaunt Falling star, soul stab. Yet we share blood and organs Requiring alike air, One day, its clay will wrap us all.
