A Love Unrequited
Deep within my heart, a love abides, For the man of my dreams, my soul confides. Yet, though he tends to my every need, His affection falls short, a wound indeed. Each passing day, my yearning grows, Every part of me, longing shows. But amidst the care, a pain I find, His gestures sometimes leave me behind. An act, seemingly small, yet cuts so deep, Leaving my heart to silently weep. Was it deliberate, to stir my fears? Or simply misunderstood, through my tears? I wish I could release this love's tight grip, But with each attempt, deeper I slip. Dreams of a future, with children in tow, With him, my heart's eternal glow. So here I am, torn and torn apart, In love with a man, yet feeling apart. For he holds my heart, yet keeps it at bay, Leaving me yearning, day after day. by: Innantia Magcanya
