A Contemporary Complaint for Consideration
Annotations of mis-co-ordinations of the latest military drone strike The fear when the children of Ukraine hear bomb raid sirens into the night What’s near when all that you can contain is silenced by your fright A seer blind in the conventional way and devoid of traditional visual sight Theolonius Monk riffing improvised scales on a grand old jazz piano Epicurious contemplating a synchronised critique of all that he has come to know A furious technique expressed in the boxing ring blow by Ali’s blow An injurious physique of the latest beautiful freak at a circus like old fashioned show Can the organic sound of water from a third world well beginning to flow Be as profound as a daughter telling her dying mother she does not want her to go? Or do we go to ground forever lost in knowing that we did not give our goals the energy to positively flow? Or let it resound that you’re risking growing as you constantly rediscover what you already know? Entrails of misfortune linger behind the possibility of success The tales of magic in my little finger as I spontaneously begin to regress The sails that tragically forever linger as we remember you in death It pales emphatically as a singer uses her sorrow in order to express A captive prisoner of your own imagination A protractive envisioner of a revolutionary situation An exactive provisioner of a uniquely original contemplation The detractive perimeter of a highly sensitive operation We refrain from allowing media to express objective truth Despite the terrain from Wikipedia needing academically revised proof Inspite of the rain clouds from the greedier versions of the new generation of youth Ignite a reason to be proud of something that would otherwise remain uncouth I’ll reach out my shaking hand to embrace your strong and sturdy palm While the teachers try to shout to the children about how to not cause their fellow students harm And preachers go about propagating their infusions of biblical interpretations to cause mass hysteria and alarm And seekers try to de-escalate the global confusion by advocating for a state of calm There’s no way forward without shedding the need to glorify the profane Let’s head toward a different world where we don’t quantify people by their fame I’m getting bored with all this constant need to advertise and self-promote your names While the greed and reasons to freely vote are negated by the corrupt rules of the universal game Copyright Elizabeth Moroz2024
