Lonesome!
Beside the fire place A wary figure sat Cross-legged, diving in coffee Savoured by some book, That saw her eyes begging from warmth. Late december that it was And the fire devoured by her own. Gazing around for lost pieces At the closed window, she stopped To see through the world beyond Only to realize then that All she needed was to open up. Shivered her sole, by the floor that kissed her For the first time In the eight hours that passed "Quarter past four", said she The clock that saw her Miserable and Helpness In the eight hours that passed. A gentle push slid open the panes All latches ; unlatched Greeted by the wind An embrace chilled her; She saw the world that wasn't hers. Hands she knew caressed across her waist All mysteries ; unveiled The sigh on her neck Warmed her being; And she held the world that was all hers!
