Who are we at our core
In life's unfolding, through this transient phase, I witness kin and friends succumb to age's haze. The pain and agony of their loss, echo in our hearts, Time may heal, but leaves indelible, mental charts. Existence's truth, beyond forms that fade, Resides eternal, where souls find peace displayed. Thoughts and beliefs, like shadows, fleet on meadows, Inconstant companions in life's fleeting shows. Of cosmic flows, our understanding's small, Yet an inner child within, resiliently stands tall. Through ebb and flow, in life's uncertain play, The inner child's laughter persists, a guiding ray. Unbound by temporal, nor transient glow, In the eternal realm, its gifts continue to bestow. Within the stillness, where silence gently hums, A core untouched by the world's beating drums. Not in externals, but in the soul's own clay, The essence of our being finds its sway.
