Children And The Phone
CHILDREN AND THE PHONE Children stumbling upon the wonder of a phone, Can turn the mundane into a humor-filled zone. Giggling and squirming, full of curiosity, They stumbled upon a wild world of hilarity. They tapped carelessly and swiped with glee, Engaging hands on screen like a busy bee, Unleashing memes & jokes for each other to see. GIFs of dancing animals and wacky cats, The children laughed until they collapsed. Autocorrect played its mischievous part,7 Turning innocent words into works of art. "Banana" became "bandana" in a bizarre twist, Leaving the children in fits of giggles & jest, The contents of the phone they couldn't resist! Photos of silly faces and funny little hats, A treasure trove of moments where laughter chats. Snapchat filters turned them into aliens and clowns, Duck-danced to the dull and danceable sounds, The children laughed so hard, they woke towns, Rolling on the floor & cracking with a bounce. Their innocent play brought joy to the screen, As each discovery made their laugher keen. The phone became a portal to a world of hilarity, A monumental sweet escape from reality's austerity. But as time passed & the phone owner returned, The kids couldn't stop the laughter they had sojourned. But their mummy, silent & still, after her return, Shook her head and smiled with little concern. A reminder of the joy the children did discern. For children stumbling upon the wonder of a phone, Can turn the mundane into a humor-filled zone.³¹ VICK MANUEL POETRY {VMP} FORM: Rhymes Copyright ©? December 2023.
