Winter on the Farm
Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, special days filled with festive charm. When family and friends all gather together, for a winter’s holiday on the farm. Old and young folks cramped and crowded, but there was no need for any alarm. Because everyone was welcome there, for a winter’s holiday on the farm. Catching snowflakes with our tongues, creating angels with legs and arms. Sledding and skating until light is gone, for a winter’s holiday on the farm. Red noses, cheeks, and cold toes, would not cause us any harm. Hot chocolate warmed us from inside out, for a winter’s holiday on the farm. When the moon replaced the dissolving sun, and children crawled under blankets scattered round. To hear stories of the olden days now departed, of past winter’s holidays on the farm.
