WALKING FOR MIRACLES
I decided on my morning walk after learning a friend of ours had passed to cheer me up I would look for miracles…unfortunately the sky was overcast. The stars, the moon, the planets were nowhere to be found which meant I’d have to look for miracles down here on the ground. Then, looking up, I remembered as I walked early…just before the dawn the clouds themselves are miracles…as well as the sky they’re floating on. And then I felt upon my face…the miracle of a breeze which, unseen and silently made its way to the miracle of the trees. Once greeted by the breeze one tree’s branches began to swing waking up the miracle of a bird..who then began to sing. My eyes fell to the miracles of the flowers who were immediately enhanced… for once they heard the song carried on the breeze…they all began to dance. If left the flowers to their dance and walked to where I heard the miracle of the ocean meet the miracle of the land… where I took off my shoes and socks so my toes could feel the miracle of the sand. As I headed home the clouds began to clear…and starting to peek through…. the miracle of the sun began changing the darkness of the night… into a beautiful shade of blue.. When I looked up through the opening in the clouds…there before me in the sky… I saw a large cloud in the shape of a feather…leisurely floating by… They say finding a feather on your path…in this case a feather in the sky means your witnessing a miracle…means an angel is nearby. I took some solace in this feather cloud…thanking the universe for it’s generosity… by sending down this miracle: a message from my friend…. to the miracle that is me.
