You Were Warned
I see them on the internet, women complain, haven’t stopped yet, rail on about their college debt; we told you, you were warned. your teachers told you: “Get a job, of you’re potential don’t be robbed,” and now so many women sob; We told you, you were warned. You thought work would leave you fulfilled, you’d make the cash and work your will, yet now it seems a bitter pill; We told you, you were warned. Feminists said it would be great, you’d fight the fights, defeat ‘the hate’ instead the work just make you break; We told you, you were warned. When it got hard you, loudly spoke: “We’ll change business, bring the world hope,” but the woke always do go broke; We told you, you were warned. And now as these women grown old, many regret doing as told, no families, a life that’s cold; We told you, you were warned. Do you think men, for all those years, simply just didn’t want you here? When most just hoped to save you tears; We told you, you were warned. The truth is, most men hated it, and thought that all our jobs were sh-t, why men of old had to have grit; We told you, you were warned. So few of us have jobs we like, that fulfills us, makes all things right, our loved ones made it worth the fight; We told you, you were warned. That sacrifice is now ‘offense,’ women want to suffer like men, and only too late understand… We told you, you were warned. I’d advise you to turn around, build back up what the fools tore down, before, by the world, you are ground; We told you, you were warned. But most people are not that strong, can’t survive admitting they’re wrong when they’ve clung to it for so long; We told you, you were warned… but you gave us only scorn. Well, you get what you deserve.
