Reinvigoration
Oftentimes I'm found to be immersed in gloomy poetry. Life's trials impose challenging woes; so I suppose... No mystery! Enthusiasm, seeking joy; diminished, dampened by convoy, of fiscal strife, decoupling wife, neurodivergent girl and boy... And friends... what friends? Dissolved by time? Creative solace: verse and rhyme! Though selfish gloom, does not consume when wakened by something sublime. Last night engrossed in random pros, I noticed one that I suppose, somehow shone brighter than the rest... I must confess, I've made a mess, of many things that I once chose. And hope at times was elsewhere found, but this something arced me to ground. It neutralised, revitalised, my sense of where hope may abound. In reading this new poet's work, I was reminded of one quirk, my greater age did not assuage: That youth is where such hope may lurk. Pure innocence! Unjaded verse! Presenting forth a universe, of love and learning, friendship, yearning, Hope! Such hope and not averse... to raw exposure of her core... Can I one day again explore, as do our youth, in search of truth? Through limpid prism? Optimism? Courage, wisdom and candour??? Inspired, dazed, I'm left beguiled, by honest musings of a child.
