Lost In the Reflection
Written: September 08, 2023 ______________________________________________________________ In a realm where reason goes astray, Where nonexistent boundaries sway, Lines avoided, boundaries blurred, Mirrors reflect a world absurd. A soul that has sight beyond a wise mood. The sultry shade that mirrors exude A temper indicative of obstinate pride, Sniffy and haughty, it cannot hide. Instead, transfer your focus inward. An eager spirit pines to start with thin words. prevailing moods that fluctuate and evolve. Set the climate in our inner chasm revolve. An attitude of resentment and dominance. Within the glassy walls of our reconnaissance. We lounge into the mirage support. Sighing in sulkiness, drowned in discomfort. But beware the convey declarative, That tries to duplicate but is not corrosive. In reflection, we hold the key, To break free from this self-inflicted plea. Lost in the reflection, it may seem, But within lies the power to redeem. So let us not be governed by our dismay. But embrace the mirrors and find our way. For in the depths of our soul's disposition, Lies the strength to alter our proper position. No longer shall we be caught in the snare. Of mirrors that only reflect despair. Instead, let us rise above the shade, And find the light in which we are made. Let us defy the sultry, sulking mood, And instead embrace a positive attitude.
