A Month of Revelations
That people are great, but sadly they tend to be those under three and over thirty. That everyone projects (their own hopes and fears), but almost everyone is unaware they’re doing it. That the generation gap is wider than ever, and that youth in America have lost all respect for their elders. The reason for this is the steady eroding of authority for the past 60 years, and a desire of parents to be “friends” and equals with their kids. Being friends with one’s children is something that should come in old age, or at least after they are adults. The only exception to this loss of respect is in the Native American culture, but sadly that is about all they have left. No one is equal to another, because equal is a function of quantity not quality. Women have no facial hair to strengthen the mother/child bond when nursing, and this is a big evolutionary step up from our other Great Ape relatives. This is the kind of epiphany probably only a father with a beard could have, but just because a guy has it doesn’t mean it ain’t so. Most social problems facing the world today are a result of denying biology, but those wanting to change the world can only accept nurture over nature. That there is always unfinished business, and that welcoming the ripening of this karma is the best approach. Lemons are good, but lemonade is better. (7/7/23)
