Chimera
Lived a chimera in its lair Feral cat with a dragon's flair Spewing flames high into the air I had to stare I had to stare The kind of creature born of lore I had never seen one before But I wanted to learn much more I heard it roar I heard it roar Tail of dragon, a lion's head Its flaming eyes were flashing red From evil things it had been bred A beast to dread A beast to dread Guarding the entrance to its cave Shook its head and began to rave A sinister way to behave What did it crave What did it crave Although enchanted by the sight I'd be no martyr in this plight This chimera I wouldn't fight I felt great fright I felt great fright I feared it caught the scent of me When it howled just like a banshee What a tasty meal I would be I had to flee I had to flee
