Light From My Computer
Sitting in the dark with my computer. Only light from the screen. I find my self not looking at it. It's at these times that I notice everything else. Like the drink sitting on my desk. Thousands of little drops of water on the outside. Waiting for the right time to fall. Then rolling down to join his brothers on the desk. The stack of sticky notes. Piled on top of each other. All forced together by some sticky substance. Waiting for their turn to be put to some use. The trash can on the floor. Holding everything that isn't needed. Mouth wide open and waiting. Longing for the time to be emptied of the filth. The pens in their holder. Just the top half of each sticking out. All yelling pick me. Then cursing when not chosen. A single picture. Freezing a split second of time. The only way time can be stopped. Reminding me of a moment in my life. Forgetting the purpose at hand. Letting the mind wonder. Where dreams and ideas come to life. In the light from my computer. By: Nathan Bane Leccese © All Rights Reserved 03/05/2009
