The Rabbit Hole
The Rabbit Hole Sometimes... a rabbit hole Is just a rabbit hole... With nothing much to see. No treasure trove to fondle... No Earthly mystery. Fear not my weary traveler... Be veracious in your role. There's happenstance aplenty To titillate a fearless soul. The End Courage Humanity would be better served By some measure of respect... Rather than the vacuous horde Who make bold of our neglect. How do those who seek to profit Grasp such power in their hands? Its ignorance bathed in apathy And our refusal to take a stand. All I ask is some small effort To give the foul minions pause. To wrest control from parasites... Giving deference to our cause. Before you judge and criticize The lunacy in my request. Know courage bears a thousand scars... Indifference dies a coward's death. The End Guilt There's much to distant memory That bubbles forth untimely dread. As each fickle lapse in judgement Eventually rears its ugly head. But accept it with humility To freshen up the end of days. As guilt must guide your future Or the past will have its way. The End Fear Not Fear not the specter of life's decay And bear each wound with pride. There's much that lives in shadows To haunt and task us till we die. We must embrace life's peculiar flavor Sampling all as it should be And chart a new direction Against those who traffic misery. The End The Tulip The tulip blooms a fortnight... Not long for any flower. It waits beneath its wintry crust To choose the perfect hour. But it lingers not till summer As soon the petals crest. But who are we to criticize When a flower needs a rest. The End
