'tis Light Till Ten
The longest day hath come and gone each day will now get shorter I love these sunny evenings to lose them truly breaks my heart for me I cannot bear the dark ‘Tis light till ten A fox I spy coming from his den Baby birds are in their nest though anxious to explore Flap their wings they try to fly Too soon for them I’m sure As the sun goes slowly down The sky ’tis brightest red So beautifully exquisite in shades of red of pink of blue always different each night new Before the moon doth shine her light a crescent moon tonight My favourite moon this moon I love but soon it will be dark at 4 Alone in doors forevermore Four dark months I cannot bear Where is the sun Please take me there Maybe for me if not too late I’ll shut my eyes I’ll hibernate… Written June 2023 A BRIAN STRAND PREMIERE no 1225' Sponsor Brian Strand
