Saved
Some folks wallow in power, yet seem cold Some souls have softened callous hearts. Somewhere, a mother and her baby lay dying Mud, sweat, tears, and blood, baked. Somewhere a father has sacrificed his life Jungle, swamp, dessert, he's no faint of heart. Sometimes he goes shirtless Cloaks the very ones he loves. Sometimes he's saddled with several lives His wife and he lift eyes to heaven skies. Somehow, they reach the clearing, but lo! The path bends like road to eternity. Somehow, his earthly savings keep dwindling But the starry night streams new hope. Some days they stumble to valleys low, yet rise Some days the warmth of sun seem most forgiving. Someone in quiet confines, whispers a prayer for souls unknown Someone is sponsoring an addict. Some folks sponsor migrants. Suddenly, all good things work together for souls saved Suddenly, sea of clarity shows horizon, where solace beckons. * ..
