Within an instant chaos erupted, women screaming, people running in every direction, bodies lying motionless on the ground. This small Texas town had become like a battlefield. Another mass shooting in a small peaceful community of a supposedly civilized nation. Eight innocent people, minding their business, doing what we all do with our families, instantly became statistics in an ever growing list of victims. These events are seemingly becoming the norm, happening more and more frequently. Has our civilized society become so desensitized to violence? Is this something we must live with for the rest of our lives? When will this chaos ever end? ...or is this just the beginning of the end?
