Fear
FEAR” Intimidating obstructing insecurities Planting seeds of inadequacy Fear in the mind Hindering and paralyzing our goals Questioning ourselves do we qualify am I good enough to take on any upper level roads Trauma taunting fear that steers the mental Hiding and isolating your gifts restraining your voice Against the world its makes the perception of you feel little Will my accomplishments be recognized or merit based Will they relate can I reach that upper level place Or will I continue to live invisible, Hidden, Mis-placed Will I be respected or will my race be in vain After enduring all the storms of life pain Can I let my vision and spirit reign Liberating this loaded locked up strain Even when Im rejected I still manage to maintain Articulating my emotions against the rain to the grain Decompressing scribing my feeling and thoughts on this paper In order to release my consolidated lyrical vapors Like a baby chick bursting out of its shell I escape breaking loose from the fear Flying free over my obstacles crying elation tears The spotlight is now on my journey even though it had took me several years To expose and discover my true identity and triumph over my fears As of today I am here standing with no fears
