Xenaphobia
“Let no man pull you so low as to hate him.” - Martin Luther King Jr. People can be ignorant and mean, with hatred acts often obscene. They don’t like the color of their skin, or judge if someone is too fat or thin. We are all descendants from immigrants. To think we are not, is just plain ignorance. We all are the same and breathe the same air, there is no need for violence and despair. There is a phobia named for this disgrace, xenaphobia is referred to hatred against race. A fear of anything foreign or of strangers, a shame this leads to violence and dangers. We should all learn from young children, as hatred has not yet been instilled in them. What a peaceful world we could all live in, to not fear race, religion or sexual orientation. 4/30/23 Contest: Writing Challenge - Words with 'X' - Poetry Contest Sponsor: Constance La France
