No Verse
I’m dry; the muse has packed her bags, unfriended me and left. No rhymes have come to mind at all. Of words I am bereft. In need of verse, my followers await the poet's best. And so a letter to the muse. was written and addressed. “Dear musie, readers want their due. They pine for it, forsooth. So why did you abandon me? Are muses so uncouth? There was a time of frequent calls. You kept me in your chat. I saw your posts; you sent me lols and pictures of your cat. I thought our friendship was for good. I thought you meant your hearts. On Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram we were two counterparts. You cannot say you were ignored. I took and used your gifts. Alas! I see — your love is like the desert sand that shifts. And yet, I have not lost all hope. Re-friend me! I implore. For now, I'm not amused, my muse. That's all. I've got no more."
