Tide
Storm a brewing upon the horizon, With the Darkening of the sun Clouds touching the sea What next in my quest to be free Lowering of my sail The wind starts to wail Coming at me The sea Waves so very tall A mountain of waterery wall For a moment my heart starts to stall. I shiver at this sight Turning day into night Put my bow to the wind I shall not bend Face this sea monster coming at me May end up at the bottom of the sea Don't really care Doesn't dare Davy Jones May get my bones But I feel no fear As this monster draws near Lifting me so high Seems my sailboat can fly Salt stinging my eye Boat jumping from wave to wave Dancing above the watery grave I scream with the storms passion Which after a fashion I was it, it was I One and the same In the sailing game Fearlessly we battle ,a test of wills A test of skills Water slamming me back I slip in and the wave I attack It seems much taller than I Once again I'm lifted toward the sky Floating a moment in the stormy air We were a great pair The storm and i Was saddened as it passed on by Trembling and shaking The sun starts waking Baking The chill from my soul Survival was my goal drying the skies The wind dies My soul flies What a ride The thrill I cannot hide Riding the tide Sea is where I roam It's home sweet home
