Scenery
"I felt my lungs inflate with the onrush of scenery—air, mountains, trees, people. I thought, "This is what it is to be happy." Sylvia Plath Stroll with me via the alluring woodland scenery! To marvel at the planet's lovely wild greenery We can't wait to relish our aesthetic place. Listen as God builds an opus space. Akin to woods and streams were humming. Opine over the poets wonderful dreaming. We'll wander through sunlight-lit woodland. weaving wide canals to brighten clay stands. In the shade of woods, away from sun's beams. unleashing our views to grasp nature seems. making a caring haven for the life there. To shelter its weak wards from danger to bear. Warm yourself with the glitter leafy vine. Visitors come for its brilliant shine. Colors swirl and slide at an agile pace. Ember flight from a firebase. Glow briefly, as they fell to their doom Instead, we're helping Earth bloom. It looks alike a barren wasteland. Amid snow and leaf fall, a tree stands. Join me for treetop fun and above it all. Watch how well they slept till nature recall. Let's board for a walk in the spring forest to reap. The rush of waking Earth's kids from their sleep. Strolls amid woods, listen to what you feel We may decode a signal sent by the wind squeal To entice a forest, we must enter its soul. We concurred to wander its extol. 1st place contest winner Written: April 09, 2023 Writing Challenge - 'S' Words, Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Constance La France
